Guys, currently there is no fix for this. As you probabaly already have, the countless blogs and fixes sometimes work and sometimes don't. The best way to deal with this is wait, get a refund for iTunes Match and wait until apple aknowledges the issue and fixes it.

Good luck using the cloud streaming, since the last itunes update... all items related have been greyed out. So sick of this crap.
Edit: Not to mention iMessages has been clusterd crapped since the last outage... everyting is out of whack and neither OSX or iOS is updating from the other.

The best way to do this is the following:

    1) Drag the songs from the album with the incorrect cover art to a folder on your Desktop

    2) Delete the songs from iTunes and iTunes Match.

    3) Shut off iTunes Match

    4) Drag the songs, in order, from the folder back into iTunes

    5) Add the correct cover art

    6) Turn iTunes Match back on

There seems to be a bug/flaw where for some titles, iTunes Match stubbornly refuses to update the artwork and it always reverts to the "original" artwork the songs had when added; this workaround circumvents that behavior.

Note that you technically don't need to turn off iTunes Match and turn it back on, but strange things may happen if the songs are matched in the background before you can add the new cover art.

Thanks William, but this is not the way it should be... i have more then a few wrong album-covers... Your workaround takes to long for me, and THIS IS NOT THE APPLE WAY !!!! (Turn on/turn off, delete and drag back -> ***)

Spotify do the "same job" perfect, and Spotify is Peanuts against Apple, so whats going wrong here !?

Sorry but iTunes Match is in Beta
