Do you want to move the documents from iCloud to your Mac, eliminating them from your mobile devices, or do you want a copy on your Mac?
If it's the latter, you don't have to worry, there is a local copy that stays synced with the Cloud in case you want to work offline. It's all transparent.

To prove to yourself that the document are on your Mac's HD, do the following:
Switch to Finder
Hold down the Option Key while you click on the GO menu
In your User Account Library, navigate to Mobile Documents.
Double-Click the Mobile Documents folder and you will get a window titled iCloud and a listing or your local HD copies of the iCloud documents.
