The odd thing is that I used this computer to access this site last year. The only change has been that my hard drive crashed and I had it replaced since. Something has changed in my set up that won't let java run when I try to open this site and get to the log-on pane that you were able to access. I'm still looking in Utilities.

I downloaded and tried Firefox. The moment I tried to get in, Firefox quit. I tried it again and the same thing happened. My Mac does not want me to open this site!

X423424X thank-you. I downloaded the latest Java software from Apple again despite being assured that it was up to date. After I did this and powered up Firefox, the computer prompted me to deal with a certificate that had expired months earlier but could not be seen in the certificates file. Firefox couldn't open it but the prompt got me to play with the settings again and after I did, Safari opened it. It was a combination of all the things you suggested, just in the proper order. Thank-you for spending time on this with me. It is critical to both my wife and I that we be able to work from home and our employer provides little tech support for people with Macs. I owe you a beer and a handshake. Steve

You're welcome.  Glad you finally got it cooperating and working.

Hopefully by now, you have spoken with the Level 1 support for BCeSIS in your district.  The latest updates by Apple/Oracle for Java removes the Java plugin in your browser and will kill BCeSIS.  Most people who roll back their Java to an earlier version will be able to successfully use BCeSIS, but that does pose some security risk.  Good luck!
