1.  You can pin a location by tapping the map and get the address and other information in a bar at the bottom of the screen.  How do you put this address into the directions To:  field?

2.  In this same address bar at the bottom of the screen for a pinned location, there is a Share option  "Copy to Clipboard". What is the Clipboard and what is the purpose?

3.  Has anyone found a way to clear all Google Maps History without deleting the cache and possibly other items you don't want to delete?  Google Maps for iOS6 imports all your Google Maps locations and there is likely to be a ton of useless locations.

Thanks.

Since the app came out last night.  Try asking the app developer or look at their support site

KiltedTim and razmee209...This Google Help page is the same information available on the App's Help Tutorial on the iPhone.  Nothing more or different.  My questions aren't addressed that I can find.  I realize it's the first day, but surely in a few more days some of the more savvy gurus out there will figure this out or Google will address it in an update.

    1. Drop the pin and press the car icon on the bottom right.  It will default to the To: field
    2. Just what it says, it will copy it so you can paste it any where you like, i.e. another nav app, your contacts, etc.  It's the same as any Copy/Paste function on any computer.

Paul CB...thank you.  Your answer #1 works like a charm.  I knew there must be a way to do this and someone would know.  Thank you.

As to #2,  I tried to paste the dropped pin address into the  To: field.  Couldn't get it to work.  But with answer to  #1 there is no need for me that I can see.

You can paste it in other apps, i.e. an email, and it pastes in the address as well as a link to the location in the Google Maps.

Paulcb....I see now how this works, but I'll stick with your answer #1 for my immediate need.  I've noticed that after pinning a location and getting the address bar at the bottom and then going to the Directions locations input screen, this pinned address appears at the top of the Map History locations just below the TO/FROM fields but in longitude and latitude.  You wouldn't know this is the pinned address.  But it you click on this, it gives you the pinned addess in the map directions.  When you do paste the address from the address bar, it appears in the TO: search field as a google link and not the address itself. A little screwy, I think. Hopefully, these will be addressed more clearly to novices like in a future update.
