I'm having the same exact trouble. It just started two days ago. When I logout and login as Guest, I can access it. I've cleared DNS Cache, I've reset Safari, I've tried Firefox and Chrome, but same issue with these.

Can you try to do it in other network?

I am accessing the Internet via Century Link DSL, wireless. I have also gone wired (Ethernet) directly to the modem. I can access FB from the Guest account but not from my admin account or any newly created account with admin privledges. Very strange. I have once again double checked that I have cleared the cache in all the browsers as well as through the Terminal window. I don't have any firewalls , parental blocks, or domain exceptions.

Can you try it on a friends house?

I have tried it on another Network to no avail. I have tried it from Parallels running Windows on the same machine and it works fine. It works from the Guest login, so it must be something specific with my Admin login account. I'm pretty sure we have narrowed it to the user account. I have created a new Admin user account and I'm still not able to access Facebook. Any ideas of what might be going on with the admin user account that does not allow me to get to facebook. Every other site works. I've cleared the cookies and such, again, the problem exists with all three browsers. Thanks for racking your braing for me.

I'm still thinking on the router as the culprit, anyway, create a new admin account and test it.
You can also do a lot of cleaning using onyx.

I created a new Admin account and I tried it from a different network. I installed OnyX and ran the cleaing and repairs. I still can't access Facebook. Craziest thing I've come across.

When you say a different network, you mean a different router and modem, right?
Do you have the firewall turned on? Is there an application that manages firewalls, like littlesnitch? Did you see if the parental control is turned on?

Craziest darn thing. Firewall is off. No parental controls and no firewall manager. I can load Parallels and connect to Facebook just fine from this same computer. I can access it from the Guest login. There is something in the Admin User configuration on my Mac that is not letting me connect to Facebook.

I give up. "Just" install the OS again.

I had the same problem, and I just fixed it. See this thread-https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4612888?start=0&tstart=0
Let me know if this works!
Klickut: This solved my problem. I'm now left wondering how the hosts file became corupt or modified that blocked Facebook only?
