I am not clear what the issue is here. Are you talking about your iTunes account to sign in to the iTunes Store or Home Sharing? They are completely different things.
Can you provide more info step by step? What application are you talking about? iTunes on the desktop or Music.app on iOS devices?

I had to call verizon and they transferred me to Apple. The problem was with different itunes accounts on the same computer and my wife and I getting confused when we would see each other's apps and music all combined. We do not use itunes enough to de-sync our accounts. As of now the problem has been solved.
