At least the iPhone 5 owners have found some resolution.  I guess the 4s owners are worthless in the eyes of Apple.

Quit your whining Bob.   They'll get the update for the other versions soon enough.   Too much self pity.

If having problem updating download iOS 6.0.2 at:

    http://www.letsunlockiphone.com/apple-released-ios-6-0-2-iphone-5-ipad-mini-down load/

then hold the alt key while clicking on update on itunes.

Bear in mind that the iPhone 5 update appeared out of nowhere with no forewarning from Apple.  Maybe the 4S update will as well, or maybe 6.1 will cover it.

I upgraded to 6.0.2 using the phone it worked fine.  I don't what I did differently compared to CNET.  My speeds haven't changed, although here at home they were not bad.   I guess I will have to see how it does on a public connection.

Just updated my two iPhone 5s and both of them worked fine for a while, but eventually showed the issue as well!

The good thing about these two that I got as replacements is that they seem to fix themselves after having slow wifi for a couple of minutes. The previous two would have the slow connection until I toggled the WiFi on and off.

Meanwhile, my iPhone 4 running iOS 5 has no issues at all.

Can you be more specific Bob?  So are you saying you have had several 4s's and not one of them can connect to ANY wifi network or just a particular wifi network (like home or work). Sorry if I have missed all your posts but clearly you seem to be having issues. The 4s has not seen quite the WIFI issues as the iP5 or iPad for that matter, at least as far as I have seen. Also you are in an iPhone 5 forum and you may want to look further in the 4 or 4s area that may be more helpful. There is a LOT of info out there regarding iOS 6 and its general WIFI issues across the board. Lots of "fixes" that seem to help users until Apple gets the iOS working like it should.

Apparently 6.0.2 has solved it for the iP5 and mini users at first glance so hope is near I would say. There is a HUGE amount of 4s's and iPads out there so I doubt Apple is forgetting those in leiu of the iP5 and iPad mini only. The iPad costs more so surely they need it working too especially the WIFI only versions. Otherwise its pretty worthless.

6.0.2 has been only a partial fix for my two iPhone 5s. The wifi still randomly becomes really slow. None of my other wifi devices do this.

I noticed when you toggle your wifi to off and then back on, the wifi slows again. Restart your iphone, and never toggle your wifi on or off. I am getting three times the speed because I restarted my phone.

I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record but what are people using to test speed other than the Speedtest.net iOS App?

Hi Russ: Thats a reasonable one to use whether at home, outside or in the office. I've had no issues personally with it.

Shanon - but here's the thing. At home ever since I've upgraded to my AirPort Extreme - it shows super inflated results - near 50Mbps which isn't even possible in my area.
