I Have a (2007?) black macbook. 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 3 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM running OS X Lion 10.7.5.

It's mainly used as a mirror display for streaming. Most recently, after several kernel panic messages that required constant shut down and restarts [after receiving black screen with multiple languages saying "required shut down of computer / power off"], I erased macbook and rebooted all OS X; from disk Tiger, to disk Snow Leopard, to Lion download. No peripheral programs being used.

I've reconnected several cords, adapters, etc. Cleaned computer. Also, employ cooling pad with fans while in use to keep temperature down.

While streaming Netflix, and occasionally other sites, macbook display shuts off and goes black unprompted while streaming. F2 will bring display back to life. Screen saver is off and set to Never.

What am I missing? Anyone have a fix on this?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
