A lot of my albums appear fragmented in iTunes 11.0.1. I have set all attributes to the same values and switched on compilation but no luck. I checked out the albums in question (funny enough mostly track 1 of an album is separated from the other tracks in iTunes) in their original locations and they all are all correctly stored, i. e. they are not distributed over 2 or more folders. How can I relove this?

Update: I have deleted one of the albums and tried to re-import it but iTunes would not let me import it. It says "processing album art work" and that's it. I don't see the album any where in the library.

Yes I have had this too. You need to check that the info for the fragmented track matches that for the rest of the album. You could also try adding Album Artist too and then in Sort Options make sure the album title is the same in all cases.

One particular track I had just wasn't complying and in the end I copied and pasted every bit of information from a correctly filing track and then edited the track name, number etc again. It dropped into the right place.

iTunes 11 is so full of bugs like this. I have lost count of the hours I have spent putting right the mess it has created. I have really TRIED to like it but I have now given in and reverted to 10.7 on my laptop whilst my iMac is still on 11.

Now all my files are straight, organised and labelled with high res art I'm reluctant to fiddle with 11 anymore. The iMac is being reverted as I write this using the media files copied from my laptop.
