Had my brand new iPad 4 delivered on Tuesday which was 2 days ago. The accelerometer or something hardware related was broken because my iPad wouldn't switch orientations. I go into my nearest Apple store and they give me a new one. Bring it home and realize my auto-brightness isn't working AT ALL. I've tried toggling it off and on, switching the brightness all the way down and then turning it on again, etc. Nothing is working. Is this an iOS 6 problem or a hardware issue?

Becoming really annoyed right now. Never had any issues with my iPad 2, which I still have and it works beautifully, but I've been having nothing but problems with the iPad 4 so far.

iPad, iOS 6.0.1

I got my ipad 4 yesterday and the auto brightness doesn't seem to work. Anyone experienced this issue?

In IOS 5 when you toggle the auto brightness you would see the different in brightness. In IOS 6 you would not see that. To check to see if auto brightness working is to turn on you ipad with auto brightness "On" in a dark room and turn on the light in the room. You will see that the Ipad will slowly become brighter. For some reason going from bright to dark room does not adjust the brightness until you turn off the ipad and turn it back on using the home button. Hope that helps
