finally got my apps from my iphone 4 to my iphone 5 which came in the mail yesterday.

i asked the tech that helped me get this straight if i just pop out the old sim card and put it in the new phone but i am now seeing that these are different sizes.

what does the sim contain and how do i get the iphone 5 activated?

do i trash the old sim card if i am selling the phone??

i couldn't quite find an answer on google.

the sim card is the tie between the carrier and the phone

    and thats it

iphone 5 use nano sim to get a new sim talk to your carrier

they supply it as it's how they get a connection to your phone

You have to tell AT&T which SIM card you want to use.  You may be able to do this from their website or by phone.  You can't use both at once on the same phone number.  To use both you need to call AT&T for a second number.  You can share the data plan with tmulyiple numbers.
