How do I get my iPad Mini to not be seen on the Internet as a phone or tablet so I may use desktop sites instead of mobile sites?

iPad, iOS 6.0.2

With Safari, the only way to do that is to see if there is a "Classic" or "Desktop" option at the bottom of the web page that you are on. swipe to the bottom of the page and see if you can find the option for that. There is no setting in Safari to set it as a desktop browser.

Other browsers, iCab Mobile, Mercury and others will let you identify the browser as a desktop browser.
