That setting you're referring to is Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
That's all you need to do before letting your iPhone 4 go.

Though you could probably get more money for it on craigslist.

Do a search on eBay for phones similar to yours that have sold. Also, remove the sim card before selling. I'm about to do the same, and saw my phone, a 16 GB iPhone 4 in perfect condition and AT&T/unlocked, go for $279.

so - i suppose i should disclose the issue of having to hit the home key a couple of times to get back to where i want to go? also, what is the deal with the battery for these things?
it is super clean but does someone need to replace a battery at some point?
