Feb 16, 2014 7:10 AM in response to Philliestonyby themachead,In an attempt to prevent unwary users from doing permanent damage to essential system files necessitating lengthy recovery steps they are locked (prevented) from simple deletion.
Often when an Application acts strangely it is a corrupt .plist (preference) file. Sometimes deleting those files will cure strange behavior.
Other times hanging at launch may mean part of the Application or Installed support files are missing or corrupt.
Try a reinstall first.
