Couple of guesses:
1) Rightclick the speaker icon in taskbar to the left of Currrent Time selecting Playback Devices. May be resetable there.
2) If not, rerun last bootcamp update - 5.0 or whatever you applied, with device plugged in.

Thanks very much, this didn't work but maybe it can't be fixed and is just a problem with running Windows on a mac.
