I use a calling service that I can dial into to place calls and make the call look like it's coming from my office. I consider myself an advanced user and have set up my phone to dial into the service and automatically enter my login codes as DTMF's. I have set up my frequently called contacts where I have a phone number with just thier regular number and a phone number that uses this calling service to call them. It's all automated and great. The problem is, sometimes when I'm in the middle of work and in safari or an app I'll come across a number and want to call it using this automated service, and I don't have anywhere to write the number down. I can hold the number down in the safari browser and it gives me the option to copy it. I don't want to create a contact for it, I just want to place a call in the phone app using the calling service I have set us as a favorite, and when my call gets to the point where it's ready for me to enter my copied phone number, I want to be able to paste it into the dialer and send it as a DTMF. Having played with the phone and read support threads, I don't think this is possible, but I have yet to see anyone specifically state it can't be done. If this isn't possible, why not? What's the security threat that keeps apple from adding this as an option. I can't be the only one who deals with DTMF's on a daily basis! Thanks for all the responses, I appreciate it.
ps - Where would I go to request this as a future feature with the engineers?
