Dec 26, 2012 3:36 PM in response to Greenman01by Ipadzen,Just called apple support and reported the problem. Probably the more calls they get the more likely it is to get fixed. Apple tech said to forward all spam to spam@me.com. Guess it might be spam@icloud.com or spam@mac.com for other users.

Dec 27, 2012 8:58 AM in response to Ipadzenby onemiami,Same situation. Just started getting spammed on Christmas. Now 3 days. All from same domain but different addresses. Very frustrating. I was already cursing who would have sold my address, but now realizing it was a breach. Have been reporting every instance to spam@me.com, hasn't helped.

Dec 27, 2012 9:03 AM in response to kyteby mobdoc,About 5 days now of intense spam coming to my icloud. Same type of emials (Dr. Oz, pizza, starbucks survey, 1-800-dentist, snoring solution etc etc etc.
Is apple selling out email addresses? I miss the ol' bounce button on the previous mail app.

Dec 27, 2012 12:50 PM in response to kyteby Ipadzen,Only got three today instead of the eight I was getting. Did change my mail settings to stop downloading remote images and am sending them all to spam@me.com. Maybe these things are helping or my call to apple support. The address they are coming from changes everyday, " only boating", "just all your base", etc.

Dec 28, 2012 8:24 PM in response to kyteby Justin Spencer,I'm getting the same. Never had a single spam email to any of my apple email addresses now since 25 December they're flooding in. I've been marking them as junk which I believe automatically notifies Apple although it would be nice if i could at least do this on the iPad. I also tried adding some rules in iCloud mail but its really basic so spammers will have no problem getting around this.
Bit of a worry.

Dec 29, 2012 11:13 AM in response to kyteby sweetmud,Freaky - just got an email to my iCloud account FROM my friends cell phone - a verizon text address - which they always use to communicate...they don't own a computer. It was for Meetup.com. The body was written like a scammer so I called and asked - nope - never sent it.
Interestingly, iCloud knew it was JUNK as that's where it was automatically filtered. Impressive seeing that the verizon cell phone text addres was identical to my friends...something I can't see must have made the system filter it. Yes, they have sent me web addresses before...for over a few years...never goes to Junk.
I did get the OZ email and also just got a call from a friend finding an email with my name attached to some Yahoo email account. So, something is up with Contacts I think. Regardless of things going to a SPAM folder...my concern is...how to kill it. Since this got really bad over Xmas I've decided to uncheck my Contacts into the iCloud feed and just keep the copy on my desktop until more solutions are found.

Its so easy to have contacts syncing to the cloud... who knows if their addresses have been compromised too... I may do the same... but, fingers crossed, I haven't had any more spam mails, and nothing appearing to be from any of my contacts yet.
