Look at the instructions for the Bluetooth headset and reset so that there are no pairings, a hard reset to delete any pairings.  Then repeat the steps for pairing.  For a Motorola headset, I had to hold down the button on the headset during the pairing process.  I also have an iPad retina (newest one) and it paired without any special gyrations

I'm having the same problem with my new iPhone 5.  The iPhone 4S worked great with bluetooth in my Honda CRV. The iPhone 5 will make calls but will not answer them.  We removed the iPhone 4 from the car's bluetooth list and entered the iPhone 5.

When someone calls the phone rings and the bluetooth rings and it caller id on the car screen tells who's calling, but when you anwer the phone the parties can't hear each other.  I have to hit speaker and then hands free on the phone to get the call to come up on the Honda.

What is wrong with the Apple iPhone 5?  Surely there is a fix???

Yep.  This is the same exact problem I am having on my Nissan Altima and many others have reporting on the boards.  I am desperate for a fix.

Just curious, when this happens are you hitting answer directly on the phone or are you answering with a button on the car?

I have a Cx-5 and if I press answer on the phone when I have an incoming call it automatically sends the call through the phone but if I answer with the screen on the car or the button on the steering wheel it goes through the car.

When I hit answer on the button on my CR-V nothing happens.  I have to answer on the phone then switch to the CRV.

It worked perfectly on my iPhone 4S before I upgraded to an iPhone 5.  Can't believe that Apple can't fix their problem.

Did you try deleting the prior pairing and/or the alternative mentioned above?

Tried deleting the prior pairing.  We did that every time.  I just won't receive calls using bluetooth on an iPhone 5.

You can hear the ringing on the phone and the car, and can answer it on the car but can not hear anything and no one can hear me.  I have to pick up the phone, then select audio on the phone, then select speaker on the phone, then select hands free on the iPhone.  Then the conversation works.

Seems pretty hazardous to do on the road.  You would think Apple would be interested in fixing this bug to save someone's life.

Since this seems to work just fine with most other Bluetooth head ends out there, have you checked to make sure there isn't a setting on the iPhone or CR-V you're missing?  Have you tried contacting your Honda dealer?

Once you select hands free on the iPhone, do all future calls work properly?

The Honda Dealer helped us set it up for the iPhone 4S and it worked perfectly until we upgraded to an Iphone 5.

It's not the car.  It's the iPhone 5.  And once we select hands free it does NOT work for future calls.

It is the same every time.  A bug in the software.

Do you have an iPhone 5?  Does it work for you with a bluetooth car connection?

I have an iPhone 5. It works fine with my Bluetooth car connection, the same as my iPhone 4 did.

Anyone who still cannot get this working.  I would recommend a call to Apple support.  I did it after trying everything else and to my surprise.  Getting a new iPhone actually fixed the issue. I am not sure what is really difference since the settings on the Phone and car are exactly the same.  And the phone is on the same IoS (6.0.2).  But something fixed it.  I was also having the same problem with a Plantronics headset and it is working with that now too.  I can receive all calls with no issue.  It goes directly to bluetooth without having to manual switch it over.

Yes, flawlessly both in my Toyota as well as in several Hertz Fords I've had with Sync.

My iphone5 will connect to Bluetooth in either of my cars but when I push accept it cuts he caller off. Connects fine can talk on it fine can call from it but accept apparently means disconnect. Anyone else having this problem .
