Dec 26, 2012 6:53 PM in response to Radiation Macby planningduo,Thanks for the suggestions. There's not a resume button and, in my Applications folder, there's no "Install OS X Mountain Lion.app". Is it possible I need to upgrade to Snow Leopard before I can progress to Mountain Lion?

Dec 27, 2012 8:57 AM in response to planningduoby Eric Root,As Csound1 typed, you have the most current version of Snow Leopard and you should be able to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Try downloading Mountain Lion again and then try reinstalling.

Dec 27, 2012 9:57 AM in response to planningduoby Eric Root,If you have an external drive, you might want to consider copying the installer to the external drive before you attempt the upgrade. If something goes bad again, you can save the time of downloading the installer again. Once you make the upgrade, you can delete it from the external drive.
Two other thoughts before attempting to reinstall - do a backup and run Disk Utility/Repair Permissions. Repeat until it shows no repairs were made. Clearing the log in between runs can make the process less confusing.
