Sorry no there is no round tripping as it's called between FCPX and Motion such as there was between previous FCP and Motion 4. In other words there is no way to open an FCPX project file in Motion. You can export your FCPX project or a portion of the project, as a Quicktime movie and open that in Motion. You can create Titles, Effects, Transitions and Generators in Motion and publish them to FCPX. They will appear in the Media Browser and are used just like the ones that come with FCPX. You can right click on most existing Titles, Effects, Transitions etc. and open them in Motion for modifications. Obviously you can also save a Motion project as a Quicktime movie and open it in FCPX.

There is a utility app out there that does this. I can't remember the name of it. Um.... I'll have to look it up.

Is it xto7 you are thinking of? Converts FCPX project xml file to FCP7 sequence xml. That can be brought into Motion 4. Also 5?
