Hey guys,

I decided to upgrade my Macbook Pro (mid 2009) with a Samsung 830 SSD. I put it in the main drive bay, and replaced the opitical drive with the stock hard drive. The SSD booted fine, I installed a fresh copy of OSX in it, however I now have these current issues:

1. The fans are incredibly loud and sounds like its on overdrive. I've tried to do a PRAM reset and a magsafe reset but no results.

2. The wifi is gone, it's not even an available option.

3. It can't detect my HDD.

I've spent hours yesterday looking for answers, but there's so many different threads and most scenarios are not similar enough to mine. Anybody dealt with this before or have read other threads like it?

Thanks!!!

I would double check to make sure that the data connector is

properly seated.  Also, you may want to take a close look

at the connector on cable and on board and inspect for damage.

Might even want a magnifier to make sure.

Also, may want to check around that whole area for any accidentally

dislodged connectors and generally inspect for any debris.

for the fan issue, if you have something like iStat Pro, what temperature readings

are being displayed.  If some temperature is really high causing the fans

to spin up, this could indicate either a damaged temperature sensor cable

or a fried chip that is cooking.

If all "appears" well, check System Information to see what is present

on the busses and also for wireless stuff.  If things are missing there,

then run the Apple Hardware Test (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509).

This should tell you if you have a logic board problem.

How did you load osx on the new hard drive?
