Hey, I was really used to the shortcuts and had all the problems explained in this thread. I tried a lot of fixes and finally I seem to have found a working permanent solution.

I first reset my keyboard dictionary as per the instructions in this thread. It didn't work. As I was also having data over-usage problems, I turned most of the things related to iCloud off except the Notes. So at this moment Documents & Data are turned off. Keeping them off seems like my keyboard shortcuts are working permanently.

Maybe as it was pointed out I need an iCloud account to have them working, but at this point I am keeping Documents & Data turned off and enjoying the many shortcuts I have

    I am on a iPhone 4 and iOS 6.

    Good luck.

is there any news? Any word from Apple or something?

I did everything and, even if at firsts those it seemed to work, after a couple of hours it starts degenerating until shortcuts stop working..

This is strange: for a while, the solution to turn iCloud > Documents & Data off and then back on again was working for me. I didn't have an issue for a while since it popped up a couple times since upgrading to iOS 6.

I noticed today or yesterday (Nov 14 or 13) that suddenly, the shortcuts weren't working again.

I have tried multiple times the solution that worked for me before, above, and to no success...

I rebooted my iPhone and the shortcuts started working. Hope this helps.

Thank You for the post - This worked for me on my iPhone4.  No need to delete anything.   Just turned Document Synch off in the General/iCloud setting .... turned it back on and the Shortcuts worked.

This is the easiest fix and everyone who has this problem should try it first before deleting any shortcuts or data

Didn't work and if if does it is only temporary just like EVERY single "fix" report here!!!!!!

I had hoped the upgrade to iOS 6.0.1 would have fixed this. But no, Shortcuts are still unreliable.

Please Apple, Shortcuts are a basic tool and should work seamlessly.  Have tried all the fixes listed and yet it seems nothing does the job permanently!!

Hey, please take a look at my post at the top of this page (page 9). It is a permanent solution for me.

Turning of docs and data is not a fix it is a work around that removes functionality

I have iPad and iPhone that I sync data with

    Again, not a fix

Obviously the problem is with the icloud sync of the shortcuts across different ios devices. Hence, you cannot have both that turned on and have your shortcuts working. If you want to have icloud turned on you will have to wait for an Apple update.

On another note, Things itself is working for me (icloud sync). Maybe that is not using Documents & data, I am not sure.

    Good luck.

I deleted a shortcut, then I added one. I think that did the trick. Thanks.

Again, that just gets it temporary working for some

Next time it syncs or even backs up to cloud, it will be broken

The only fix appear to be to re-boot. But this is not permanent.

A fix worked for me with my own twist. I selected each one and hit save. Once I hit save again than went to the iPhone search page they worked fine. If you go to edit each entry and jut open it and hit save it seems fine. I also searched under the search page. Try this and see if it worked tracing each one

I tried this and it fixed my issue too. Not yet sure if it's a long term fix or if it stop working again tomorrow. There must be a bug somewhere in iOS 6. Really sad Apple....
