If you purchased Pages on a DVD or it came preinstalled with the computer, reinstall the update > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563
If you purchased it on the App Store, delete Pages on the Applications folder, open App Store > Purchases and reinstall Pages

Yes , some people have had it.
Try restarting you computer and see if the application will work.
Do a search in this forum (up to the right) and see if there are more that yo can do.
