Is  iPhone allowed to be used in rain? My Apple local support rejects to repair broken WiFi under active Repair and Service Coverage arguing that Liquid Contact Indicator is active i.e. red (based on my observations the indicator's colour is white). If repair station is correct then it seems to me that Apple's user guide should advise to keep iPhone during rainy season in water protected cover. Best should be condom. Any experience with broken WiFi ?  Are android devices so water sensitive as well.?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.0.1, WiFi is out of order (broken)

It's probably in the instructions somewhere to not use it in the rain, but I think manufacturers assume people know not to use the phone in the rain. There are a couple of phones that are weather-resistant, but they aren't exactly 'smartphones'. Yes android devices are water sensitive.

You're kidding, right?  This is the reason that iron's have to carry warning labels telling people not to iron their clothes while wearing them...

Water and electronics do not mix.
