Q: How to remove a mini-cd from a slot-loading superdrive (on ibook intel)

I have a mini cd stuck in the slot loading drive on my ibook (i have curious children;-).

Are there any tricks to removing foreign objects like this?

    Hello,

     

    You really only have two options.

    Take the unit apart yourself or you take it to a repair shop to do it for you.

     

    If you wish to attempt it yourself, you can use the iFixit guide to help you.

    It wont eject, as the leaver which pulls the disk out of the drive, wont move further enough to eject the disk.

    So the the only way is to take to top off the drive and then you can simply remove it out.
