Hi all,

I have unlimited texting  and photo messaging, and 1GB of data, and have been using iMessage for text messaging since it launched. Can anyone clarify the issue of data usage with iMessage? Does the network distinguish users with unlimited text and photo messaging and send events in the most efficient/affordable way possible?

I understand many users don't have unlimited texting, and it's handy being able to send texts and pictures to iPad/iPod users who use WiFi. But it would seem to sort of defeat the purpose for me, if instead of making use of my unlimited texting, all of my text messages are eating data.

Same question re: photos and videos (quite a bit bigger than texts) Are they going through as data, instead of SMS/MMS (which again, I have free)?
