Hi folks,

Does anyone have the same issue?

All the keyframes tracking of all text effects doen't work at all.

For example: I want to make glow-in and glow-out on a text. If I move the glow sliders (radius and blur) then I see the effect on the text at that moment. So that will say that the effect is there and works. But here comes the frustrating problem: I will add keyframes to make the glow-in and glow-out.. and I set the sliders at the right way. But when I hit play, the sliders are moving but nothing happend at the text. And yes, I tried 100 times, but the program *****.

It's really a big shame of Apple. This bug is since the first released of Final Cut Pro X. And now they released a new version 10.0.7 and the same **** bug is still there, and even worse.. cause there is an extra bug more in the text keyframe sliders.

In fact...in this way I will call Final Cut Pro X a big fail of Apple. The last year Apple makes one fail after the other.

And it's so sad, cause in fact.. Final Cut Pro X looks very good, it works very nice and easy... but it's not finished.

So it's a big shame that Apple is releasing unfinished software! It seems that they have amateur programmers employed there for the last few years???

Every other simple video editing program I know can handle keyframe tracking easily with no problems.

If Apple is not going to fix this soon.. I will sell my macbook pro and I never want to have Apple anymore !

This cost me too much time and frusstration. I'm done with this.

    Hi Jerry,

Sorry about your problems. Send your feedback to Apple the official way (Final Cut Pro->Send Final Cut Pro Feedback...). We're all just users here and can't do anything about what you are complaining about.

As I said in the 'paste attributes' discussion you posted this same message in...

I have made a generic title that has controls you can use keyframes to animate with.

If you are still using Final Cut Pro X and Apple products, try downloading it (for free) from my blog

    Hi Thomas,

Ok I will try that. I did know the other option to send the feedback to Apple.

I tought that Apple would read the feedback also here.

    Hi Alex,

Thanks so much for your help. I will trying your generic title.

I think I didn't read your message on the other topic very good, maybe I was too tired.

But do you know or can you explain me why all the other titles the text effect keyframes not working?

Like I explaind in my message that the sliders are moving but nothing happend.

Thanks again !! Im gonna try your custom made title.

    Cheers,

    Jerry

Most effects in Final Cut Pro are made using Apple Motion. Motion text effects are a little more advanced. Motion has a feature where you can make controls in Motion available in Final Cut. This is called 'Publishing' a parameter.

Just to let you know, these forums are for Apple users to help each other. Assume no Apple people read anything you see here. The only way to guarantee Apple read what you've got to say is by using the feedback form.

This keyframing problem has been around for a long time. There are many bugs yet to be fixed in Final Cut. Apple choose which to fix first based on reports from the feedback form. This means reports on other bugs and feature suggestions have been more numerous than people reporting problems with keyframing some text parameters.

    Thanks Alex,

But to be true... don't you think it's stupid that Apple released a pro video editing program with function that doesn't work standard? For example: Adobe AE, Premiere or Sony Vega movie Studio has no problems with keyframing.

Well lets hope that Apple will fix everything. Maybe you can sell your templates to Apple
