Q: Almost all major Windows anti-virus solutions are incompatible with Apple software?

Apple, you can add Avira Antivirus to the list. So, basically you are telling us that almost all major Windows anti-virus solutions are incompatible with Apple software?

Does anybody have a workarround available?

With all respect Apple, if there is one man in the world, pointing to the rest of the world that they are crazy, even a big and very respected man, who is crazy? The rest of the world or this one man?

Please Apple, come with a bugfix.

Please community, in the meantime, do you have a workarround for me?

First, note that if some third-party software doesn't work properly on a Mac, that is not for Apple to fix, that is for the developer of that software to fix.

Second, there is anti-virus software that works just fine on the Mac, though there is very little need for it. See my Mac Malware Guide for both information about how to protect yourself and anti-virus recommendations if you choose to use it.

    Dear Thomas,

Thanks for your reply, Maybe I posted this question in wrong thread, I'm sorry for that, it is _not_ about a Mac. This question is about a Windows machine with Apple icloud/itunes on it being incompatible with a lot of the major Windows anti-virus solutions (you need that on a Windows machine).

See also the link on top: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US where Apple confirmes the incompatibility.

Ahh, sorry, I missed which forum this was in. Of course, the same is still true... if Windows anti-virus software is interfering with normal operation of iTunes and other such apps, that software needs fixing.
