Dec 7, 2012 6:09 AM in response to hoevelerby rocksr,Just adding my voice to this. Keeps restarting the scan at about 85xx of 9447 songs. Never completes. I second the opinion that for some time now, Apple has remained very quiet on this and other issues that have been plaguing users for many months. Been an apple loyalist since mid 1980's, but I think I'm about at the end, for many more reasons than this itunes debacle. Such a shame, too, as my cell provider (T-Mobile) has finally announced that we'll get the iPhone next year.

Dec 30, 2012 7:08 PM in response to tvlabergeby LeeBug,I too am having the issue where Step 3: stops at "1 of 3036 Items Uploaded" and then it stops. Also, I would say that 75% of the 3036 songs are in the Apple Store so I shouldn't have to upload them. Apple, you really need to take the concerns of your customers seriously. I have paid for a service that is not working as prescripted. You have loyal customers who enjoy your products. Ensure the loyal goes both ways. You are the wealthest company in the world. Pay someone to at least respond to us....frustrating...

Feb 10, 2013 2:17 AM in response to tvlabergeby stab_d,Just wanted to say that, four months after buying iTunes Match, it has never worked as promised. It loops immediately after beginning step 3. If I turn iTunes Match on on my devices, I have acces to LESS music. Indeed, I pay 25 euro a year so that I can only listen to half of my music. Thanks Apple.
Apple Support can't help me: "I have passed your problem along to our engineering team for further research, I will keep you updated as they provide further information" - this was two months ago
Has anyone been provided a solution to the iTunes Match loop problem yet?
Thank you.

Feb 23, 2013 10:21 PM in response to stab_dby Phil Marinucci1,I think I found a solution. The problem seems to be the upload speed and your ISP. I tested this by using my LTE connection instead and iTunes Match worked no problem.
So I found a free throttling app called Entonnoir and throttled all the ports that iTunes uses to a maximum of 100KB/s.
I ran iTunes Match and it's now working...slow, but working.
You can get the app from here... http://tools.chocoflop.com/entonnoir_en.html
Here are the ports to throttle...
TCP 5223
TCP 80
TCP 443
TCP 3689
TCP 8000-8999
TCP 42000-42999
Hope that helps!

Feb 24, 2013 11:38 AM in response to Phil Marinucci1by Randy Fields,What is throttling? Does it open connections to that the upload speed increases as you have noted is the problem?

Feb 24, 2013 11:41 AM in response to Randy Fieldsby Randy Fields,I also just tried to download the app and it would not open in Safari saying it did not come from the app store.....

Feb 24, 2013 12:33 PM in response to Randy Fieldsby Phil Marinucci1,Throttling is limiting the speed that your Mac can upload. iTunes is trying to upload at a speed your ISP does not like or support.

Feb 24, 2013 12:36 PM in response to Randy Fieldsby Phil Marinucci1,You need to change your app security settings.
- Open System Preferences
- Then choose Security & Privacy
- Click on the 'lock' icon located on the bottom left hand corner so you can make changes
- Enter your Mac password
- Now change 'Allow applications downloaded from:' to... 'Anywhere'
- When prompted, click 'Allow From Anywhere'
This will allow you to download and install the app.
