It depends on the specifications of the iBook in question.

If its bellow 867 Mhz processor speed then you can install Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.

Anything above up to 1.4ghz will allow you to install Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Alternately you could install Linux for PPC Mac
