Mute button faulty - how do I repair?

I have an iPhone 3GS and the Mute button on the side is faulty. It no longer 'clicks' on/off, instead it just kind of 'falls' from one possition to the next. This means it keeps falling from off to on without you knowing so inevitably the phone is in silent. A real pain. The 'Click' mechanism just seems to have packed up on this tiny switch.

Question, how easy it is to repair, how expensive, and where can I take it.

I'm based in Cambridge, UK.
