Q: Missing Files?

I posted this in the Safari forum, but there's barley anyone over there, so, here it is (this was posted on the Safari forums originally, so disreguard the first few sentences):

Hey everyone. I've often metioned problems I'm having with loading pages. But, I've lately noticed something very strange. Everyone is always mentioning certain Safari related files, for example, Library/Safari, or com.apple.Safari.plist, or etc... Anyway, I have none of those files. No preference files for Safari, no Safari folder in my Library folder. Is this a problem? Please help, and thank you in advance.

Boy...I've got a lot to learn. I'm not at all a seasoned Mac user to be honest. In fact, I'm currently using my first Macintosh computer ever; I got it about 3 weeks ago. But, I'm into computers to an extreme extent, and I've been doing as much research as I can to learn how Mac functions. I've been a Windows user for all my life, and this is a huge switch for me. I'm just glad I made it before it was too late. Anyway, thanks a lot. I'm so unfamiliar with the whole folder setup with Mac, but I'll get it eventually. So, yes, I found both. Now, would you have a clue as to why Safari decides not to load pages I visit about 45% of the time? I have to refresh and refresh sometimes 6 or 7 times to get Safari to load a page. I deleted com...plist, could something have been corrupted within that? Thanks in advance.

Well, the Apple discussions for the most part. But, many others fail to load just the same; ebay. Anyway, I deleted the preferences file, and the problems are still occuring. I suppose I'll just stick with Camino; it's actually a pretty decent browser.

Miraculously, since the Java Cache clearings, it seems to be fine. I'll use it a bit more, and if I experience no failure, I'll be more than happy to award you some Solved points. Thanks a billion.
