I tried downloading the file and opening with OpenOffice. It reported back to me that the files was not a valid Word file. It appears there is a problem with the file. You might want to discuss this with your friend.

there shoudl be an option to recover the content surely...
I know somehow people even recover files deleted from trash, and deleted from computer at all
Im not jsut that technically strong to try that
but thanks for trying
im just hoping that someone will help me to get the content
There is a huge difference between recovering a deleted file and a corrupt file. Since two difference application are not recognizing the file, I think it is corrupt. For that reason I say the data is lost.
you are right, nevertheless I found a local data recovery guys. they offered me to bring my computer to them and they can have a look at it. they said if they can not get the content they will not charge me. they said the format of the document might be corupted, and they can still recover the content text if its more than 10 kb.
