Hi Bill, I saw this scheduled notice so tested it to switch on in 5 mins time and it went past that schedule without turning on DND to don't hold you breathe for tomorrow!!

    Seems to have several glitches!

Having the same problem on both my phone and my wife's.  DND worked properly on both phones on Jan 1 but DND did not turn off as scheduled (7am) on Jan 2.  It does turn off if I do so manually.  I've tried turning off DND in both places and rebooting and DND comes back on even though it is past the time to shut off.  I hope all is right on Jan 6 as earlier post suggests, but in meantime Apple needs to patch.  This is problematic issue.

I am having the same issue as well.

It worked fine yesterday but hasn't switched off today at all. It's now 8 hours passed it's switch off time. I have now manually switched it off but looking at the comments here, it doesn't look like it'll turn back on anytime soon.

Not that I understand why this might happen from a technical point of view, but the explanation fits with my experience. Do not disturb is set to come on on my iPhone 4S at midnight. Accordingly, I experienced the issue with it failing to switch off on January 1. On my fourth-generation iPad, however, do not disturb is set to come on at 11pm, so it operated perfectly normally on January 1.

On January 2, both devices failed to disable do not disturb when they ought to have. It's good to know that the issue will resolve with time, but a little irritating that it doesn't work perfectly. Having said that, I'm not back at work until January 7, so it's not going to affect me as I have been manually switching the devices to silent with this side switch so that I can lie in until I feel like getting up whilst I am on holiday!

I love that you have spent so much effort in finding this.

i just can't understrand why it should resolve itself at all (from a technical standpoint)

maybe this is Scott Forstall's last Hurrah!

Same here. All iOS device (iPhone 5, iPad3, iPadMini) are affected. All having iOS 6.0.1.

My timezone GMT+1, Not working 1st and 2nd January.

Hope stevem1981 is right - but expect Apple solves the problem before ...

Whoever does the coding for clock, alarms, DND wants their butt kicking or sacked. Apples history with alarms and clock issues is not great.

We are not talking about complex apps here. Humans have been telling time a long time.

As reported many times in the media, people are using their mobiles for scheduling, alarms, etc. So it's one function you would expect to trust.

Still broken today on both my iPad and iPhone.  Based on the post near the top it looks like it will be "fixed" on Sunday, but Apple really needs to learn how to do "date" coding.  This isn't the first time New Year's Day broken date related functionality and it won't likely be the last.

What I don't understand is that there is no reason for the Do Not Disturb functionality to even care about the date.  It should simply turn on when the clock hits the set turn on time and turn off when the clock hits the turn off time.

The "Do Not Disturb" based on the half moon icon notification nex to time did not ingage last night.  However with that said I didn't get awoke by any text or emails showing on the lock screen.  This is one of the features I like about iOS 6.  Obviously a black eye.
