Q: Journal won't publish to iCloud?

Journals look like a great idea. But I've now created two on my iPad 2 and tried to publish to iCloud but all I get is the spinning wheel which suggests that the file is being transferred, but it never stops spinning. The first journal I tried to publish had about 10 photos, so I thought it might be that the files were too big. So then I tried to publish a journal with a single photot, but got the same behaviour. The spinning wheel spun on for ever.

Anyone any ideas?

Did the problem resolved at this date (02.01.2013), i have the same problem... I just called to the support line and they told me that it was a question of time to the Engineers of the Icloud service could take of my case...

25Gb at my disposal and in the manage storage appear 6,7mb free.

Hope that apple could resolve my problem...

This still not working for me. Spoke to fairly senior Apple engineer on two occasions but have heard nothing for about a month. He won't acknowledge or respond to any emails I've sent to him either.

Call him. Explain that you're not the only one with the problem and others seem to have gotten some resolution; not necessarily total resolution, but for some of us, at least the iPhoto publishing is working again. Tell him.

The problem is I only have his email and getting through to him requires going through the whole process with Apple on the phone over again. My case ID doesn't appear to be in the system anymore either. My guess is that it isn't widespread enough to be a priority for them.

You must have a CASE NUMBER; call Apple Support, give them the case number and explain that the guy hasn't gotten back to you.

Sorry, I didn't read your reply carefully. Start a new case from the beginning.

An engineer hijacked my account and my issue is now resolved …  eventually. Am able to publish Journals again and my iCloud storage status looks normal. Started back in Oct, so be persistant and stick with it.

    Hurrah!!

This just started working for me completely out of the blue. I never did hear back from my Apple Case Worker, despite pestering with emails, and certainly when I checked just 10 days ago, it still wasn't working.

But today, upon launching iPhoto on the iphone - Bingo! - all my iPad albums just appeared (with the red "Cannot edit" binder, as I'd hoped they would), and the exact opposite is happening my iPad (i.e. iPhone journals are appearing there, uneditable).

So pleased this is now working! Let's hope it's a sign that Apple are making a concerted effort to improve iCloud functionality/reliability at long last…

    (we can but dream)

Congrats drfrot!  I too think there's been some recent "movement" in the iCloud Camp as with my new iPhone (5) on which iPhoto Journals previously did NOT work have now suddently begun working. Progress. Amen to the functionality / Stability comment!!
