Downloaded Apple Pages app from the app store. I am searching for the templates folder. They are supposed to be in the iWork folder in the application support directory. When I search, I do not have an iWork folder. Where are the template files stored? Also have numbers and keynote, but no iWork folder.

Mac Pro (Early 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Where are emails stored on Mac?

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion & Mountain Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Or you can choose Go to Folder from the Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:

    ~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates/

    or

    ~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Numbers/Templates/My Templates/

Are you asking for the templates provided for Pages? You will see the templates if you in the Pages File menu click on New from Chooser.

To learn more about Pages download the Pages User Guide from your Pages Help menu.

To see your Sytem folder and th enclosed Application Support folder, hold down the option key as you click on the Go menu in Finder. OSX 10.7 & 10.8 hide them from you.
