My computer hard drive had to be replaced.  My computer recognizes my Ipod when connected, but I am afraid to sync it because I have both Itunes purchased music and CD downloads on the Ipod.  I don't want to lose all the music.  Is there a way to sync the Ipod to my new hard drive without losing all the music?  Thanks.

iPod nano, Windows 7

What type of mac do your have? All you're showing in your profile is a Windows machine. I'm asking because your post should be moved to an appropriate forum - you posted in the feedback forum. If you have a Windows machine, you might be better off asking in a Windows forum.

So what kind of computer do you have? FYI, these forums are for Mac products problems; if you do have a Windows machine, you may or may not get help here because it would involve your computer (not just your iPod)

If you're using a Mac, you can follow instructions in this article to accomplish your goal: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329

If you're using a Windows machine, as stated in the "Notes before you start" section, the article won't work.
