Q: How to hook up two 17" Studio Displays to a Macbook Pro

Ready for a crazy one?? Here goes...

I just got a Macbook Pro 13" NON-retina display. I have two old 17" Studio Display LCD monitors I'd like to use with it. So here's what I've done so far...

I bought a Matrox Dual Head 2 Go unit and hooked it up via Thunderbolt to VGA. It then gives me two DVI outputs. I have two Apple ADC to DVI adapters (yes the right kind with an ADC out and DVI and USB in on the big white power block). I have both Studio Displays hooked up to the Matrox unit and everything is communicating... Here's the problem...

The Macbook sees the Matrox. The Matrox seems to see the two Studio Displays. However, I can't get the Studio Displays to TURN ON! I'm pretty sure everything will work if the Studio Displays would power on, but they don't seem to be working. I literally just disconnected them from my OOOOOLD G4 tower and they were both working... one was even using the ADC to DVI adapter.

I know these monitors are old and pointless, but I already had them and the Matrox. So, I don't want to have to buy two new monitors if I don't have to. Any thoughts? The power buttons on the Studio Displays light when touched, but I know they were only used to power on older macs... not the monitors themselves. I'm sure this is something stupid or easy, but I'm not coming up with anything. Thanks for any help!!!
