Why are the only profiles in the preset avatar set for the support site male profiles?

Was just wondering really, since it is sort of a sexist presumption to assume only males have questions to ask. Ohhh, that's right. The female users can use one of the "cute" icons.

Bleah.

Are you referring to the greyish head/shoulders pic? This one?

Since there is no hair or other features visible at all - just a head and shoulders, I'd like to hear the logic behind your assumption.

The profile Babowa pointed to is, as far as I can see, the only 'non-pictorial' support profile available. It is a subjective judgement whether it shows the view seen from behind of a male or female, and is probably intended to be neutral. Not all posters wish to reveal what gender they are.

When you reach a certain level you can use your own avatar of choice.

Why do you assume the image is seen from behind?

I did not assume. I did not say anything about being seen from behind.

    Either way, the accusation stands.

You are entitled to your opinion; I prefer to spend my time in a meaningul way.

    Good luck.

Watch out for the far-more-common-than-occasional threads from a user who signed up one day to post dozens of link to football or soccer games being played.
