My wife uses a MacBook running OS 10.5.8 and Safari 5.0.6. When she clicks on the photo stream invites I send her and tries to view the photo stream on the web, the web page opens but the photos do not not appear - she only gets the warning triangles. I know that I've set up photo stream correctly as I can see the photos using Firefox on my wife's MacBook and also on her iPad. Safari is her default browser so it would be helpful if I can get the photos visible in Safari if possible rather than having to switch to Firefox. Any advice on how to do this?

A friend recently informed me she wasn't able to see my shared photo stream on her 10.5.8 MacBook as well. I just tested this with Safari and saw the same warning triangles.

As you mentioned, I was able to download and use FireFox on this system and view the shared photo stream. Of course, as this was a PPC iMac running 10.5.8, it took some extra looking to find the download. I found a link here:

my guess is that apple wants you to upgrade your software. we can rubbish them for leaving behind those who have not the time to organize an upgrade but sooner or later we must. more and more things will slowly become unusable for us until we bite the bullet and upgrade to whatever the new os is however painful that might be.
