First, we're just users here, not apple. So you're venting at the wrong people.
Second, apple and google parted ways, not only over the youtube app but also the map app. It's only been within the last month or so that there has been a youtube app for the iPad.

- Yes - the YouTube app previously built in to iOS was removed. Google and Apple ended their agreement for Google to supply it.
- There are several YouTube apps available in the Apps tore, including one by Google, and the mobile version of YouTube also works quite well in Safari.
- The security questions are not directly related to the iOS upgrade, but are part of advanced security measures on your AppleID. And yes you will have to set them prior to using the App store. Everyone with an AppleID has been through this process over the last 6 months or so. It makes our AppleIDs more secure, and that certainly overrides any perceived inconvenient you think is caused. Thats the way it is. Really doesn't matter if it "gets on your nerves".
