Q: I dont have a nano sim card, can i still use my regular sim card with the iphone 5?

I am planning on buying an unlocked iphone 5 from the apple store online. I do not have a nano sim card. I only have a regular sim card, does that matter? Or can i still use the iphone 5?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2, I live in mexico and am on telcel
