Is there an application (e.g. PinPoint, Mouse Locator, or Find My Mouse), or some other means, that will create a cursor, and an insert point, which are fully integratable with ML, and all of its applications (especially Mail and Pages), and makes the cursor and insertion point more visible than simply enlarging the pointer and line via the 'Accessibility' system preference?

There is Mouseposé. It places a halo around the mouse that benefits presentations. It is $5 in App Store.

You should pose your product specific questions to the Mouseposé developer (Boinx Software).

Before I originally responded, I investigated the ability to change the mouse pointer outside of the Accessibility preferences. Although there is a command-line defaults syntax to change the pointer size, it too references the accessibility preference file. I saw no way to change cursor shape or color.
