We have it too. Exchange 2010 and could also happen on iOS 5 latest but doesn't even diplay a name so you owuldn't know

The bug is still present in iOS 7 !!!

Connection to the Address Book using ActiveSync is working correctly.
And ActiveSync is sending all the required information to the iOS device.
iOS does not seems to use the Display Name, but a concatenation of First Name and Last Name.
These do not exist in the case of a Distribution List.
A simple fix would be to use the Display Name as a fallback solution when there is No name found.
