Hi, I'm trying to back up my iPhone 4 on iCloud to then sync it with my iPad I just bought, it said I didn't have enough storage so I bought more, selected back up and it's been over an hour and a half & it's still only 1% done...... It's not giving me any estimated time for completion either, is it normally this long ?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.

The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed.

What many people don't realise is that upload speeds are often significantly less than download speeds, so for example a user may have a download speed of 40 Mbps, but only 1 Mbps for uploading. As a rough guide it will take around 2 ¼ hours to upload 1 GB of data at 1 Mbps.

I have the same terrible problem. There must be an option to send iTunes back up to iCloud.Otherwise my iPhone 4S will not be backed up at iCloud anymore
