If you have Reset, restored, and still have the same problem, then take it to verizon and probably will be replaced.

I am having this exact same issue. I bought my phone 2 days ago from Verizon. Were you able to get it fixed/replaced? Any update would be appreciated.

Same issue. Got my Black/Slate 32GB iphone a day before Christmas Eve and it happens to me as well. Idk what it is but it's relly annoying and I think it's a defect. I apply pressure to some areas and sometimes it vibrates randomly. Any updates?

I'm having a similar issue, but it's not just pressure. Rocking the iPhone in my hand (as in, the turn that happens naturally when bringing it from my pocket to face me so I can look at it) will often cause the Silent icon to appear on and off and buzz quickly. I can't reproduce it reliably, so I haven't taken it to Apple yet, but it happens more often than I'd like and makes me a little crazy when it buzzes in my pocket for no reason.

I ended up taking my phone to the Apple store and of course it didn't vibrate while I was there. Fortunately, though, they took my word and replaced the phone for me. They were really nice about it.

I noticed by 64GB iPhone 5 vibrating for no obvious reason today, but after a bit of experimentation, figured it out. I can reproduce the issue by turning the phone to mute with the switch (orange viewable) at the side and then flexing the phone slightly near the switch (top left corner of the screen). If I turn the switch back, the phone no longer has the issue. When pressure is applied, the bell symbol (volume) appears with a line through it. When presure is release, the same symbol appears without the line. I would guess it is a faulty connection inside. Since it is fine when not on mute, it is not a big problem for me - however this could become an issue later on if other things are affected.
