Hey all, I just called 1-800-MYAPPLE and talked with account support. In less than 20 minutes on the phone, Internet (home Mac/Pc) the security questions (answers) were reset and I was able to access my account and purchase items from iTunes. It was so easy, just call and you can get help and enjoy your device.

You need to call 1-800-MYAPPLE and talk with account security team. They can help reset questions for your device. I just upgraded from 3GS to iPhone 5 and the same thing happened. Hope this helps your predictament.

How do I stop reciving all these emails?

I've unchecked every box in my options at least three times and my mailbox is still jammed with updates I don't want from this thread.

Oh, and all you can do is PHONE APPLE. I know it *****, I've been there. This whole stupid question thing is the pits plus worse I've lost a LOT of money because I bought stuff from Apple iTunes on an email address that then got hi-jacked by spammers and had to close it down which meant  I LOST EVERYTHING I BOUGHT WITH THAT APPLE ID EMAIL.

I'm really fed up. Lose your email address = lose everything you ever bought from Apple.

How is this a good idea?

    And:

HOW DO I STOP RECEIVING ALL THE REPLIES TO THIS THREAD? LOG THEM AS SPAM?

I work for Apple.  As stated before, you'll have to call 1800MYAPPLE, speak to the iOS department and then they will get you to iTunes Account Security which can reset your questions.

Honestly, I think brainstorming the answers is the best way. I got locked out of my account twice, but finally figured it out--had my best friend from HS wrong...I answered with the name of my 1st best friend in HS instead of my overall and current best friend from HS. Stupid, but I kept trying and finally got it. And they usually ask you two of your three security questions, so refresh the page until it asks you the two you are most likely to remember.

I encountered this issue trying to sign in to confirm my iTunes account on my laptop so I could start renting movies, by the way (got a gift card--normall wouldn't bother). They weren't too helpful over the phone. I navigated online to where you can change info on your account, but even to change your security questions, you have to recall your old security questions security questions. Really annoying.

    Good luck, all.

Same here I can't buy anything until I either find out my security questions or I need to change them.
