This concers the icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen indicating the network.
Here in Atlanta, AT&T has pretty excellent LTE coverage, I love it, faster than my network at home. I went out of town this week to find that I was on a "4G" network. AT&T does not have LTE in this part of the state, and a network speed check shows it around 3G speeds.
So I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what that "4G" in the screen is indicating? I have never seen a "3G" icon, even when I've been in areas that are clearly 3G (I have seen the edge network icon). Is the "4G" really just indicating AT&T's 3G network, or is this another network distinct from 3G and LTE?
