I am unable to open one particular website with Safari. I have OSX 10.8.2 Mountain Lion. I have been reading all the related suggestions & downloaded & installed JavaForOSX.dmg and jdk-7u9. Still I cannot open this website (http://ctalanon.org). Can anyone assist me with this problem?

You don't need Java to load that site. What happens when you try?

Thanks for responding. When I try to access it I get a blank screen with a message that says something like 'Safari cant open the page www.ctalanon.org because the server where the page is located isnt responding.I contacted the webmast and he had no problem getting in and said no one else has reported a problem.

Triple-click the line below to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard (command-C):

    www.ctalanon.org

Launch the Network Utility application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Network Utility in the icon grid.

    Step 1

Select the Lookup tab and paste (command-V) into the address field. Press return. Post the output that appears below – the text, please, not a screenshot.

    Step 2

Select the Ping tab and do the same.

Reboot your router by turning it off and on. If there's no change, test, if possible, with another device on the same local network, such as a computer, phone, or tablet. It has to go through your router, not through a cellular network.

Thank you very much. This solved the problem. Any idea why that would happen with only ONE particular website?

A glitch in the router, or a stale DHCP lease perhaps.

It must have been some glitch in the router because I had tried 'renewing the DHCP lease' as one of my attempts to fix it.

    Thanks again for your help
