Q: how do i transfer purchased items from my ipad to my computer on the new itunes?
The same way you always have.
Either right click on the device and select "Transfer Purchases" or from the menu select File > Devices > Transfer purchases.
Cntrl + S will enable the side bar.
Cntrl + B will enable the menu.
